For the third year in a row, we are honored to nominated for Senior Housing News’ annual Architecture & Design Awards in Assisted Living! This year our beautiful Balfour Lavender Farms joins Balfour Littleton (2019) and Balfour Stapleton (2018). Kudos to DTJ DESIGN, Inc. as well as our own Balfour Interiors team!
“Senior Housing News, an Aging Media Network publication, is pleased to announce that more than 90 entries have been submitted to the 7th annual Senior Housing News (SHN) Architecture & Design Awards.
Communities across the country and globe submitted new construction and renovation projects this year, vying for top honors across 10 categories: 55+, Active Adult, Affordable Housing, Assisted Living, Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), Independent Living, International, Renovation / Repositioning, Skilled Nursing / Post-Acute Care and Standalone Memory Care.
“The 2020 SHN Architecture & Design Awards counted an impressive number of entries this year,” said George Yedinak, founder of Senior Housing News. “Each year, we look forward to this opportunity to showcase the cutting-edge projects from around the United States and globally. Senior housing and care owners, operators and developers continue to invest in incredible work in partnership with world-class architects, designers and engineers who bring their creative expertise to elevate the experience of residents across the care continuum.”
A panel of industry experts will judge the projects, evaluating nominees based on design and aesthetic criteria. Not only will judges analyze design elements such as color, light and landscape architecture, they will also consider community functionality by analyzing key features that are critical to property type, such as universal design techniques.
Balfour Senior Living is nominated in the Assisted Living category: Balfour at Lavender Farms – Louisville, CO
Winners will be announced on December 15, 2020.”
