Thanking Balfour Associates Post-Marshall Fire
On December 30, 2021, the Marshall Fire that spread through Louisville and Superior destroyed nearly 1,000 homes and forced tens of thousands to evacuate. Balfour Senior Living was ordered to evacuate its 400 residents in Louisville, CO.
Staff, families, friends, neighbors, neighboring senior living communities, and more reached out to help with this monumental task that had to be executed in a very short period of time.
Remarkably, Balfour buildings survived the fire. After thorough smoke and ash mitigation and following inspection by CDPHE and Louisville Fire District, most residents were allowed to return home on December 31st.
On January 7, 2022, Balfour founders visited each of the Louisville communities to thank staff for their heroic efforts.
