Updated 2.12.21 All Balfour Senior Living communities have been registered to receive vaccinations. Balfour Health & Wellness staff are working tirelessly with state and local authorities to coordinate vaccinations for all residents and staff members. Vaccination clinics will be administered by Walgreens and CVS staff. There will be no charge for the vaccine itself. There will be costs associated with the administration of the vaccine. Please be prepared with insurance information as needed.

Updated Nov 2020
Protecting our residents has always been Balfour Senior Living’s top priority. With a strict protocol, we have enforced security and health guidelines in each community while continuing Balfour’s quality care and service. Listed below are the ways that Balfour has reduced the spread of the coronavirus among residents and staff:
It is important to know that we follow the advice of state and local health officials regarding any quarantines, closures, or other health measures needed. Our clinical leadership teams monitor for signs and symptoms, and respond appropriately per guidance from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS). Our COVID-19 response team is in frequent and regular contact with health departments to ensure residents and associates are following infection control guidelines.
Balfour is continuing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) protocols. The company has invested in PPE that is readily available for all communities at all times. Associates are required to wear PPE at all times in their respective communities. Residents are required to wear PPE in communal spaces and when with other residents, not of the same household. Balfour’s available PPE includes masks, gloves, goggles, gowns, eye protection, and face shields.
We conduct regular surveillance testing for COVID-19. Our testing program was developed in partnership with public health agencies in both Colorado and Michigan, and meets high standards of accuracy and reliability. Residents are strongly encouraged to participate in testing; Balfour associates are required to participate as a condition of ability to work.
Nonessential personnel are restricted from all Balfour locations; further, everyone entering our communities, including associates, is required to participate in a screening process. We continue to require that all essential medical visitors work exclusively for Balfour during the pandemic and not work concurrently for another health care or senior living facility. Balfour associates are required to participate in regular training related to social distancing, wearing masks, washing hands, and other infection control procedures. Housekeeping and Maintenance have heightened sanitation efforts, and we use approved cleaning products that are antibacterial and certified to kill viruses.
We are safely admitting new residents! Balfour Senior Living requires a negative test result and a mandatory 14-day quarantine in the resident’s Balfour apartment suite at the time of move-in.
If you are interested in setting up a Virtual Visit on your preferred device, we invite you to schedule a time with the Balfour Leasing Team to tour a selected community. To schedule a live virtual tour with our staff, please visit our Tour Request page.
Family members are encouraged to connect with each other through video chat, calling, texting, or other social media formats. Videos and live streaming platforms for fitness and educational classes, along with social connection opportunities, are available for residents. Balfour provides connective devices and physical assistance with hardware to residents that request open communication with loved ones.
You may call our recorded novel coronavirus line at 720.633.7187 for updates on the status of COVID-19 within Balfour Senior Living’s communities. If you have specific concerns about your care or the care of a loved one, please contact your Community’s Executive Director.
Stay strong and stay safe. #BalfourStrong
