Meet Balfour's New Executive Director of The Lodge and Residences, Chuck Schuringa

Chuck joined Balfour Senior Living in October of 2015.  Prior to joining Balfour, Chuck spent nearly 23 years working for Starwood Hotels and Resorts.  He started his career with Starwood as a bellman and quickly rose through the ranks, serving in a variety of leadership roles throughout several hotels: Front Office Manager, Guest Services Manager, Director of Rooms, Director of Six Sigma-Blackbelt, Director of Operations and his most recent position at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel (Colorado’s largest hotel with over 1230 guests rooms, 7 restaurants and 135,000 sq. ft of meeting space) as Hotel Manager.  Chuck has worked internationally in Europe, Canada, Asia, the Caribbean and throughout the United States and has opened over 20 hotels  domestically and internationally as well.  He thoroughly enjoys his new role as Executive Director at The Lodge and Residences at Balfour and bringing his hotel related experience to the lives of the residents and staff at these wonderful communities.

He is constantly looking for ways to make a difference in the lives of his staff and residents.

Chuck is married and the proud father of seven children, in his free time, Chuck enjoys spending time with his children and wife, fishing, hiking, camping and playing games (as long as it’s not Scrabble).
